Psychotherapy in central London and online
For many people, this has been the hardest year of their lives. It can be hard to hope when the situation is not getting any easier. We can't always get through on our own and it's not a sign of weakness to seek help. Talking about how you feel shows strength as well as consideration for those around you. It can help you cope with the difficulties you might be feeling, whether this is isolation, sadness, confusion, anger, depression or whatever you are struggling with, either recently or over a much longer period of time.
What do you need to talk about?
Do you need to make changes but don't know where to start?
Whether you are looking for an open-ended and explorative type of therapy, or an intense, focused and brief period of therapy, I am able to help.
Perhaps you feel it is time to look at your life in depth; to understand yourself and your relationships better. You may feel particularly troubled in the current climate or you may have been feeling low for a long time and have finally decided to take the plunge and start talking about it. Or you may simply wish to access support and to unburden your worries, in confidence. Psychotherapy is about thinking together with a therapist to develop increased self awareness, better self esteem and more fulfilling relationships.
Before working with individuals privately, I have worked extensively in university counselling and as a psychotherapist in the NHS. My particular areas of experience and interest are in working with depression, (including clinical, anxiety, OCD, panic, self-harm and suicidal thoughts) and with survivors of sexual abuse and trauma. I have also worked in depth with transgender and gender identity issues, bereavement and loss, and younger peoples’ academic or creative, family and social issues (over 18's).
